If you're reselling custom koozies or lining them up for a client's event, your margin is set by two numbers: the per-unit price at your quantity tier, and what your market will pay. The first number we publish — the same table our designer uses at checkout. Here's the math from there.
Your cost side: the published tiers
Full-color printing on neoprene, standard 12 oz size, plus a flat $0.05/unit shipping (slim cans are $0.05 more per unit):
| Quantity | Per koozie | Delivered cost per unit |
|---|---|---|
| 100 | $2.94 | $2.99 |
| 250 | $2.24 | $2.29 |
| 500 | $1.54 | $1.59 |
| 1,000 | $1.24 | $1.29 |
| 2,500 | $1.09 | $1.14 |
| 5,000 | $0.94 | $0.99 |
| 10,000 | $0.84 | $0.89 |
The margin math at common markups
Where you land depends on your market — event exclusivity, design work you're adding, and turnaround all move the number. The arithmetic at a 1,000-unit order ($1.29 delivered) looks like this:
| Your price | Markup | Margin per unit | Margin on 1,000 |
|---|---|---|---|
| $1.94 | 1.5× | $0.65 | $650 |
| $2.58 | 2× | $1.29 | $1,290 |
| $3.23 | 2.5× | $1.94 | $1,940 |
| $3.87 | 3× | $2.58 | $2,580 |
Run the same math at your tier: the deeper the quantity break, the more room between your cost and a price that still looks great next to retail koozies.
Fees you won't pay (that eat resale margin elsewhere)
Many suppliers quote a low unit price, then add art fees, plate or screen charges, proof fees, and inflated shipping at checkout — every one of which comes out of your margin. Here the live preview is the proof, artwork placement costs nothing, shipping is the flat $0.05/unit shown above, and the checkout price is the whole price. Reorders rerun a saved design, so a repeat client doesn't restart the process.
For event planners: budgeting per guest
Client events price cleanly per head. A 150-guest event needs 150 koozies at about $2.84 each — roughly $430 delivered, under $3 per guest for a favor that leaves with them. Round up to the next tier break when the count is close: at most breaks the extra units cost little and cover the plus-ones. Order 4–6 weeks ahead; production and delivery runs 2–4 weeks, and rush (1–2 weeks) is a conversation.
Ordering is self-serve
No trade account, no quote forms: design in the online designer (or have your client approve the live preview themselves), pick the quantity, and check out. The full price list with magnet add-on pricing is on the custom koozies page, and the deeper cost breakdown is in our koozie cost guide.
