Order wedding can coolers (also called koozies) 5–6 weeks before the wedding. Production and delivery take 3–4 weeks from checkout, and the extra week or two covers a late RSVP count, a change to the design, and a slow carrier. The last safe day for standard speed is 4 weeks out; with express production at checkout it's 3 weeks out. Inside 3 weeks we can't promise the date at all.
The timeline, week by week
8 weeks out: settle the design
Decide what goes on them: your names, the date, and a line if you want one. Our 175+ wedding can cooler sayings are sorted by theme. Pick a can cooler color from your wedding palette and an ink that contrasts with it, then build it in the designer, where the live preview shows exactly what we'll print. You can email yourself the design and come back to it.
7 weeks out: standard, slim or both
Standard can coolers fit regular 12 oz cans; slim ones fit seltzers, energy drinks and canned cocktails. If the bar is serving both, order both from the same artwork. Each size is its own line in the cart with its own 100-piece minimum. The slim can cooler guide covers what fits.
6 weeks out: lock the count and order
This is the recommended day. Order one per guest and round up to the next price tier: leftovers disappear, and at a tier break the extra pieces cost little. Don't wait for the final RSVP; order at the tier above your likely number. The price ladder is in our can cooler cost guide.
4 weeks out: the last day for standard speed
Standard orders are delivered within 3–4 weeks, so 4 weeks is the last point where standard speed still promises the date. If you're here, order today.
3 weeks out: the last day for express production
Tick express production in the cart ($30 for 100–199 pieces, $40 for 200–399, $50 for 400–749, and $60 for 750 or more) and the run is made and delivered in 2–3 weeks. Put the date you need them in hand in the Special instructions box in the cart. Our rush guide explains how it works.
Inside 3 weeks
We can't promise custom can coolers will arrive in time, and it's better to know that now than to count on a box that lands after the wedding.
Count back from the right day
The date that matters is the day you need them in hand, which isn't always the wedding day. If they're going into welcome bags, count back from the day you pack the bags. If you're flying to a destination wedding, count back from the day you leave. And if the planner sets up the day before, count back from that.
Where to ship them
Ship them to yourself or to someone in the wedding party, not to the venue. You'll want to open the box, count them and see them before the day, and a venue taking dozens of deliveries in wedding week is a place boxes sit unopened in a back office. Hand them to your planner or venue with the rest of the decor.
When they arrive
Count them and check them against the design you approved in the live preview. Keep them flat, dry and out of the sun until the day. Then set them out in a basket at the bar, stack them by the cooler, or put one at every place setting; they're a favor people use that night and keep afterwards.
