## What express production costs

The fee is charged once per order, not per piece, and it steps up with the number of can coolers in the cart:

## Express production or express shipping?

They solve different problems. Express production puts your run on the factory's priority schedule, which shortens the time it takes to make; express shipping books a faster carrier once it's made, and the time in production doesn't change. Most of any window is production, so if you're picking one, pick express production. If your date sits right at the edge, tick both. ## Work back from your date

Count back from the day you need them in your hands, not the day of the event, and plan on the far end of each window:

- **Standard speed:** check out at least 4 weeks before you need them.
- **Express production:** check out at least 3 weeks before.
- **For an event:** we recommend ordering 5–6 weeks ahead, which leaves room for a design change or a late head count without paying for rush at all.

Say the date is 5 weeks out: standard speed gets them there with a week to spare, so rush would be money for nothing. ## Closer than 3 weeks? The honest answer

2–3 weeks is the floor. Every can cooler is printed to order from your design, and express production is the fastest that run can be made and delivered; there isn't a quicker tier to unlock by asking. Between 2 and 3 weeks out, express production may still make it, but we can't promise it. Under 2 weeks, it won't. If your date is that close, we would rather tell you now than take the order and miss it.

## How not to lose a day

1. **Finish the design in the designer.** The live preview is the proof: what you confirm is what we print, so there's no proof email to wait on, and production starts at checkout.
2. **Have your logo file ready.** The designer takes PNG, JPG or SVG. A large PNG with a transparent background, or an SVG, prints cleanest, and the designer can remove a solid background from a logo for you.
3. **Write the date in Special instructions.** The box is in the cart; put the date you need them in hand, not the event date, if the two differ.
4. **Ship to one address where someone will be there.** Splitting a rush order across addresses, or rerouting a box once it's moving, is where days go missing.
5. **Check the quantity and the address before you pay.** A change after production starts is what turns a rush order into a late one.

## Hats run on a different clock

Custom hats aren't printed from a live preview. Each run starts with a free digital mockup, sent within 24 hours of ordering, then a sample, and the full order is delivered 7–9 weeks after sample confirmation.
